TypeRoom Lite Launches Private Beta

TypeRoom Lite is web-based service that allows you to edit your live website and do something with those edits. The edits aren’t actually saved to your site upon completion but you can do something with them. Your action choices include FTP, Email, and download. For simple sites the best choices would be to email your webmaster or FTP. TypeRoom was designed to give the non-technical user some control over their website without complicated steps, coding, or menus to learn.

TypeRoom Lite is easy to use. It loads a little slow for me but it’s a reasonable trade off for the power to edit a simple site with ease. The nearest market neighbor I can think of is Edit.com’s self service editing plan though it requires modification of your original pages to work.

TypeRoom Lite offers a simple menu for the user and clear instructions about what each function does right onscreen. As of this beta release I would recommend it to web developers with clients that don’t quite need a full content management system but require edits from time to time.

TypeRoom Lite is open for private beta testing. Go to TypeRoom.com to sign up for your invite.
