ShopforClothes.com $2000 Shopping Spree
This week ShopforClothes.com announced it’s $2,000 shopping spree sweepstakes. The idea is to sign up for an account, add your favorite clothes to your virtual closet (this one is mine) and wait for the votes to come in. It’s social networking for apparel. You have the opportunity to vote on others’ virtual closets, write reviews, and participate in forum discussions.
ShopforClothes.com is a search engine for clothes not an actual online clothing store. Search results are served from many different sites, designer apparel and discount retailers alike. The concept is fresh and fun but it can be confusing for first time users. When you decide to buy now instead of later you’re taken to the originating retail site to complete the purchase. Do not be confused, ShopforClothes.com is not an online retailer like Amazon.com.
This site does have potential. Just remember, whatever you find there you purchase somewhere else.
You are right about it being a little confusing at first, but pretty easy once I got a handle on it. I’ve been using for a while, basically because there are only a handful of stores I actually shop (the gap, pacific sunwear and a few others) and they are all in there. I’m also #2 in the voting right now! If I win, I’ll have a lot of nice things to say :)
