First Look: Contentinople.com, Content-inwha?
Today I got an invitation to join Contentinople.com with the promise of a free t-shirt to the first 500 users to create an account using the email link. I created my account and logged in. From the site’s ‘about us’ section I learned: “Contentinople was started by wayward bloggers and journalists who were looking for a place that organized, analyzed, and presented information on the emergence of the digital content universe. They needed a filter to sort through the companies and Websites that are changing the way people approach digital content (from music to videos and everything in between)…”
While this project is noteworthy and novel, I don’t see a lot of headlines I’m interested in. The pages are quite wide and the content on the left sticks too close to the left side of the browser window. I’ve poked around a couple of stories but the colors are getting in the way - they’re a little…. bland.
This site may find itself useful in the future, but for now I don’t find it so. Also, the domain name is a little long and odd. What do you think of Contentinople.com?
