The 10 Post Threashold
Since I started this blog I have been working on a bunch of different post ideas at a time. It takes me a while to get them all completed and ready to publish. I don’t blog full-time, only a few minutes (10 or less) at a time. When I wanted to join a few of the well-known womens’ blog communities I was rejected right away for having less than 10 posts that were spaced out too far. They should have been asking me what I was working on for the future. I have potential ya know! Really it only meant I had to spend more time writing…
Possible rejections to the less than 10 posts: “Ahh, yes… you do not yet have 10 live posts. You cannot join our list!”
“You have been rejected because you do not have at least 10 posts on your site. Please try again when you have at least 10 posts.”
“uhh, no. get along, you’ve done no actual writing! shoo! go!”
They never ask this question: “How many saved posts do you have?” I would answer: “I have 20+ saved posts right now and I’m working on another two as I reply to your message right now.”.
