Review: BurnLounge Music Download Service
Let me start by saying this: “Yes, I am an iPod + iTunes user.” I really like my iPod. iTunes makes it easy for me to buy & manage my music. I know that sometimes hype is rooted in truth so I decided to check out Burnlounge.com’s music download service. My question was this: Is it really an even match to iTunes?
There’s a lot of hype within the Burnlounge community saying that it’s download music associate program will soon replace iTunes as the music & movie download source online. I found this to be all hype. I had a look around this great new multi-level-marketing program. I wasn’t impressed.
I was very disappointed to find out MP3’s weren’t even available. Music purchased through Burnlounge is in wav format. Why do I want to download something only to convert it to MP3 to put it on my iPod? I don’t.
They now offer ‘free’ Burnpages and affiliate pages. You don’t have to pay a fee to sell music through your own Burnlounge page with these programs. This is a nice addition but they don’t give enough design freedoms in creating these pages. All freebie pages will look alike except for a few color changes. How would I be different from everyone else selling my wma song files? I would add a few photos or something? No thanks.
If you’re considering promoting your own Burnlounge page, read the FAQ’s carefully so you know what you’re selling. If you’re unsure, say no!
