Dell’s Linux PCs Not As Expensive
So, the PC is slightly less expensive. Where do we find it? In anticipation of this great new Linux thing Dell is doing with it’s PCs I check dell.com once in a while to see if they’re ready to purchase. I haven’t found them yet without some major page digging. A reader at Slashdot commented the big downfall for this product offering will be “product placing” on dell.com. I agree. If I can’t see the Ubuntu machines after clicking computer type I’m leaving the site. I would like to see the Linux Penguin or Ubuntu logo somewhere on the homepage to take me to all the Linux offerings. This only seems natural, pre-installed Ubuntu is thier new product.
